Raymond H. Magilson, age 97 of Penn Hills, passed away at his home on Friday, January 19, 2018. Beloved husband for 73 years of Rosemary A. (Ley) Magilson. Dear father of Richard J. (Andree) Magilson and Robert P. (Elizabeth) Magilson. Loving grandfather of Mark, Jody (James), Robert (Brooke) and Cathryn. Special great-grandfather of Quinn, Greyson, Reagan, Tenley Rae and Weston. Brother of the late Olive Stanic and Jack Magilson. Brother-in-law of the late Eileen and Louis Easton, Leo and Claire Meyers, James and Anna Mae Ley, Raymond Ley, Don and Anna Mae Chraska and MaryKay McManus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Raymond served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII as a radio operator on the B17 Bomber, flying out of Grafton Underwood in England. After the service he worked for US Steel Corporation, Oil Well Division, retiring in 1982. Ray enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, watching his grandson's soccer games and going to the 384th Bomb Group reunions. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at MAURICE K. KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Rd. (across from S & T Bank), Plum. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 a.m., St. Susanna R. C. Church, 200 Stotler Rd., Penn Hills. Everyone please gather at the church. Interment with US Army funeral honors will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
